Established in 2007, AIS Electrical Engineers (PTY) LTD is an electrical and electronic systems company specialising in buildings and plants. Our team is composed of young professionals who prioritise continuous development and community upliftment.
At AIS, we are committed to making contributions to South African communities through our skills in power systems and analysis. We primarily focus on Brownfield plants to address existing issues for our clients and offer advanced generator optimisation to enhance efficiency and reliability.
We recently launched our product section, giving our end-users access to our product lines and information. Our clients can rely on us for technical support on all products used, including bespoke solutions for generator optimisation.
We are registered with ECSA and strictly adhere to its Code of Conduct, as well as being regulated by the Engineering Profession Act of South Africa (Act 46 of 2000).
Safety First
We abide by various standards such as NFPA 70E, which defines arc flash hazard as “a dangerous condition associated with the possible release of (thermal) energy caused by an electric arc.”
Other organizations like NESCT, CSAT Z462, MSHA, OSHA, and IEEET also address the issue of arc flash.
AIS Electrical Engineers (PTY) LTD prioritises the safety of our personnel by providing the appropriate PPE. The recent implementation of OHS regulations for staff working with live equipment is a step towards better health and safety practices. However, most electrical infrastructures are outdated, making them more susceptible to hazardous operations.
Unfortunately, many electricians and operators are unaware of the dangers they face while working. At AIS Electrical Engineers, we help owners achieve compliance in Arc Safety to mitigate these risks.
